    @Sebastian: It has been stated that there will be a moderator control panel in 1.4 – yes.

  21. Awesome!… I prefer the old 1.2 style of reputation instead of the warning system… but oh well, i hope there is a mod for this….

    The reputation system in 1.2 is still in 1.4, however the warning system is a completely new feature that can be used by staff only to warn users up to certain levels before action is automatically taken (posting permissions suspended, account banned, etc)

  24. Well, According to me. MyBB 1.4 is a good release. After all it’s the result of year’s effort. SO it must be special 😉

    How ever, I will use the Hoteditor for editing/Posting the text. But i like this because it will be more Secure.

    I was happy to read that the vertical style optional is, I like the horizontal style, but it’s a good option 😉

    Ow, and I see that there is more hierarchy in the UserCP and a lot more icons, the hierarchy is absolutely a good thing!

  34. no,no I don’t like the new look in post style at all it’s like phpbb/vb it has limit on postbit option too.

    I like the old one lot of better.

  41. I couldn’t imagine someone having 30 subforums LOL but the 1.4 version is looking really good guys. I can’t wait. Its like a tornado watch, sitting around watching the doppler and waiting-PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT watching supercells and hook echoes…sorry…keep up the great work yall 🙂

  43. Kruzzen, actually I believe there are 60 subforums there – 30 for Dennis and 30 for rh1n0. So in total, there are 63 there – but of course, you can add much more than that. 😉

    Amin, quick reply in MyBB 1.4 uses AJAX, including new post detection and new page detection based on your settings.

  44. @Animus – Themes can be imported via the wizard. Few template changes would be necessary – as you can choose between either horizontal or vertical postbit – users also have the option in their User CP – though I’d imagine this could be disabled if you wished for only one type of postbit.

    To remove the option in the User CP, you can always just take it out of the templates.
